Bag-On-Valve  BOV / Continuous Spray Aerosol Filling Machinery

We offer new machinery for charging  Bag-On-Valve / Continuous Spray  containers with our under-the-cup (UTC) head and  subsequent pressure filling of the product Through-The-Valve  into the inner bag.

We offer two machinery ranges, based upon the overall speed of production you may need:

1.  Index Motion BOV systems for up to 50 CPM

1A.  Rotary  Index BOV systems for 25 to 50 CPM  

Twin Rotary index units installed back-to-back will provide up to 50 CPM

A Twin head BOV Rotary Index charging machine This system can fill 16 oz BOV packages through the valve at 22 CPM.   The table is designed to accept a single-head UTC crimper/gasser station now, or at a later date.  Double-Click a picture to enlarge.

BOV CRIMPER/GASSER STATION Our new UTC Crimper/Gasser  heads use an ELECTRIC LINEAR ACTUATOR for head positioning throughout the charging cycle.  This PLC controlled system  is extremely reliable and adjustable over a number of parameters. The system uses a touch screen to select the specific product SKU that you may recall  from a menu.  This touch screen allows a password-qualified operator to  make any adjustments to the cycle, and then lock the system for general production runs. Ethernet cards and links to your computer system are all available options.  We offer some very sophisticated options for those needing that level of control of the filling process..

PRESSURIZED PRODUCT FILLING CYLINDERS are available in two different displacements:

0 to 300cc    0 to 360cc

 Standard construction features product contact parts fabricated from  304 stainless steel, Teflon and hard chrome.     

Full 316 SS construction is available as an option

The photo above shows a 300 CC Pressurized Product Filling cylinder, fitted to a stainless steel vertical mount that would be bolted to a tabletop.  When installed on a table, the entire unit is positioned vertically.  We sell these as individual dosing cylinders (as shown) or as complete stations. The dose adjusting handwheel and lock-nut are seen in this photo.  The  air used to dispense the product dose enters the cylinder through the swivel fitting at the extreme left, and flows down through through the hollow threaded rod stop Our pressurized product filling stations are constructed with an internal contra-piston to minimize air consumption.  Consequently, the air consumed in each filling cycle is in direct proportion to the dose size selected.  Our design also features a relatively high boost-ratio, allowing the line mechanics the ability to "fine tune" the injection pressure as needed.  The line mechanics or operators can regulate the pressure up or down as needed.

The end-of-stroke air switch is shown in this photo,  The second air connection (for the dose recovery stroke) is made at the threaded hole under the red plug	The inlet check-valve is show at the bottom of this picture, with the product discharge elbow  visible.

PRESSURE TESTING SYSTEMS    We have two options for pressure testing.  Both of our pressure testing systems use a touch screen display.  

1. Post Crimping/Gassing Pressure Tester.  We test the gas pressure charged within the can, and can also sense the  integrity of the bag with this first system. 

2. Post-Filling Pressure Tester.  This station tests the completed package within an adjustable high and low pressure limit.  Cans are rejected from the line when pressures fall outside these selected limits

 High/Low limit selection:  Setting high and low limits on the accept/reject station is a  is a simple menu command that is selected from the touch screen. The menu commands are password-protected, allowing only qualified people to change the parameters. You can select real-time readout of the can pressures,  and scroll backward to monitor earlier production on the face of the screen.  Contact us for a discussion of your needs.

2.Continuous Motion Rotary BOV Systems for speeds up to 210 CPM  Continuous motion rotary systems are offered for starting your production at one speed, and phasing in more heads as your speed requirements may grow.  You can begin with three heads, the expand your capacity to six and then 9 heads with this system.
