Description
of Condition,
Used Machinery
Throughout our website, we refer to used equipment in various conditions.
They are:
Nearly New:
Similar condition to new, except the machine may have been sitting for a period
of time or perhaps operated in a short test-run regimen.
Excellent:
Describes a machine that is complete and ready to run.
Very Good:
A machine that may need seals or other readily serviced parts renewed but
otherwise there are no major mechanical faults.
Machine can be placed back in service relatively quickly.
Good: As
very good above, except there is more normal wear on the machine. This machine
would require minimal service work to put back into operating condition.
Fair: This
usually represents a complete machine taken from service that is complete and
operating; however, the machine should have some maintenance effort performed
before placing this unit back in service. (Ex.
Gearboxes are working but may have leaky seals; air cylinders are functioning
but may leak air, etc.)
Poor: A
machine that would require major reconditioning and refurbishment to bring back
into service. It may be missing
parts.
Note: Any changeparts that may be needed for your particular application must be
addressed separately for machines of any condition.
