Pamasol 1" Valve Cup Seating Machine.
This machine was last used to seat valve cups into the neck opening
of the passing aerosol cans. It can be used for the same function, or
modified to seat other fitments. The last user ran 1" valve
cups with "dimples" to secure the valve cups in place during the
crimping / UTC charging process.
This machine is designed to be located next to a conveyor. The cans do
not enter or revolve around the dial. Instead they run along a tangent of
the starwheel's outer diameter. The machine is simple to install - it's
cheap, too...
 |
The triangular shaped white cam, made from UHMW is seen on
the right side of this picture. This cam strikes the roller cam followers
on each of the 12 punches. The valve cup is trapped between the
black plastic starwheel on the inside, and the stainless steel outer guide
on the outside. The punch then centers up on the cup and drives it down
into each can. Each can is located by the upper and
lower can-handling starwheels. |
 |
The Stainless Steel Outer Guide is in the center of this
picture. The cans and unseated valves enter on the right side of
this picture, and exit in a seated condition to the left, after passing
behind the outer guide. |
