CONVEYOR , NEW BGI  3 1/4" WIDE  MODULAR SYSTEMS

(Accumulation Tables appear toward the bottom of this page)

Are you installing a new checkweigher, accumulation table or other piece of equipment and need a relatively small conveyor system change?  Are you planning a new line or line upgrade?  We can help with the conveyor changes needed in most of these applications.

We will send you our Conveyor Pricing Menu to allow you to select the conveyor you need for any project.  It is simple to follow the menu directions to design, price and order the conveyor components you need.   Request your conveyor pricing menu by email: bgisales@beardsworthgroup.com      or phone: 203 263 3811

We also offer full service CAD Design and Custom Layout of any aerosol conveyor project.  We can combine our conveyor segments with our new or used accumulation tables as well.

Using our Conveyor  Menu, with the included drawings, you can calculate the cost of your particular conveyor project. Please keep in mind that nearly all conveyor projects require some custom pieces. We can easily accommodate these custom requirements.  Contact us for any specific needs we would be happy to help you.    Sample drawings of the conveyor are listed below

Conveyor Design Considerations:   Our 3 ¼” flat tabletop chain conveyor systems are designed for all aerosol and liquid filling applications.  They are specifically designed for use in hazardous locations as seen in Aerosol filling plants.

Conveyor Construction    The box sections are fabricated from 11 gauge stainless steel.  No painting required.  All motors are rated for use in Class 1 Division 1 Group C environments.  Gearboxes, shafts and bearings are robust to meet the demands of aerosol filling. Double high guard rails are provided as standard.  Guard rails are adjustable without the use of tools as may be needed.

Flexibility of layout Our conveyor segments are modular in design, and can be easily assembled to meet any application.  Request our MENU of available segments that one can use to order for any application.

Deadplates and transfers  We have a selection of stock deadplates available for side-transfer, end-to-end transfer, transfer to a rotary Disk, connector plates to link to any KP machine etc.

Future Modifications to the layout  The conveyor layout can be modified at any time in the future to accept changes or revisions.  For example, all of our straight segments and 90 degree corners have their respective guard rail sections attached to that segment of conveyor.  Most guard rail joints are made at the conveyor box section joints.  Consequently, the layout can be changed very easily by disassembling and reassembling the pieces to suit the new layout.

Tabletop Chain Service Window  One important design consideration we offer is a “service window”.  When replacing tab conveyor chain, it is often difficult to find a convenient spot to remove the linking pin between two flights of chain. Most often, the pin must be removed at a drive or idler sprocket.   In order to improve access for this service, we cut a wider opening in selected straight segments of the stainless steel box section.  This wider “window” allows the tab chain to be lifted clear of the conveyor box section.  The mechanics can then remove the pin and replace the broken or worn chain segment on a relatively accessible straight portion of the conveyor system without having to deal with this task at an idler or drive end sprocket.

Conveyor Speed  There are two choices:

1. Fixed speed  We deliver the conveyor with two standard options on conveyor speed: 30 FPM and 60 FPM.  The speed can be adjusted manually by simply reversing the drive and driven sprockets inside the guard.  Most lower to moderate speed applications will use a fixed speed drive.   We also offer conveyor speeds up to 86 FPM as a no-cost option.

2. Variable Speed  In addition to the manual adjustment described above, a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Controller may be used to fine-tune conveyor speed up to the maximum of 86 FPM.  All of our drive motors are “Inverter-duty rated” for use with VFD.  Consequently, a VFD can be added at a later date if needed.  Using a VFD is the easiest way to control the speed of a conveyor system.  An added benefit of the use of inverter-duty motors is the possibility of a future upgrade to a Programmable Logic Controller system that can control either the entire line, or selected parts of the line.
